Ukraine’s, Europe’s and Russia’s development is tightly interlinked with the challenges and opportunities of today’s globalised world, said Aleksander Kwasniewski during the concluding session of the 7th Annual Meeting of YES.

Ukraine should consider various integration models. But the internal reforms are the main thing in achieving success in the contemporary globalized world.

Upon the end of the world economic crisis the prices for the energy products are going to be on the rise. The age of inexpensive energy is over.

The modernization process in Ukraine will take place within three areas. Borys Kolesnikov, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, stated this during the session at the 7th YES Annual Yalta Forum.

The world economic growth has started. Although its rates are not supposed to be high, the forecast for the years immediately ahead seems to be quite positive on a global basis. However, serious global economic risks continue to exist as yet. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund claimed this during his joint session with Mykola Azarov, the Prime Minister of Ukrain, that has opened the second 7th YES Yalta Forum plenary day.

Global economy emerges from the crisis. But at the same time there is a rise of competition level for financial recourses in the world, which can be won only by the states that are developing most dynamically. 

Climate change is a global problem which may affect any country in any moment. We have not managed to reach effective agreement on joint actions yet.

The world economy is in a traumatic condition. The recovery is going to be long-lasting and complicated. Martin Wolf, the Columnist of The Financial Times said this in the course of the 7th YES Yalta Forum TV-Link New York - Yalta.

he European prospects for Ukraine give no rise to doubt. However, the European integration process will be dependent directly upon the extent of effectiveness of reforms in Ukraine.
