Despite today’s crisis, European Union should not stop the enlargement process and shut down the European integration prospects for Ukraine. 

Ukraine remains on its way to European integration, and YES will do its best to continue supporting this process in future. 

The objective of Yalta forum is to discuss the global challenges of modern age, make them a part of a present-day agenda in Ukraine and open new approaches which would help to find solutions to these issues.

The 7^th Yalta Annual Meeting entitled “Ukraine and the World: Re-Thinking and Moving On”, organized by the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, will take place in Livadia Palace from 30 September to 3rd October 2010.

Javier Solana, former European Union High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy and Secretary General of the Council of the EU, has joined the board of Yalta European Strategy, the Chairman of the Board, former President of Poland (1995-2005) Aleksander Kwasniewski announced.

The Board of Yalta European Strategy (YES) met Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on June 18, 2010 to discuss future cooperation.

After six years as Chairman of the Board of the Yalta European Strategy network, Rt. Hon. Stephen Byers has decided to stand down from his position.
