On November 27, 2020, Yalta European Strategy (YES) together with the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine held a virtual expert discussion on women, peace and security (WPS) co-organized on the occasion of 20 years of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325. 

In his interview for European Pravda, Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman of the Munich Security Conference and YES Board member, shared his thoughts about changes the world is going to be facing after the election of the new US President, why the situation with Nagorno-Karabakh differs significantly from the one in Eastern Ukraine, and what role the EU can play in the developments in Belarus.

Yalta European Strategy, in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, continues its series of online conversations on global challenges and what they mean for Ukraine. On November 10, Egils Levits, President of Latvia, and moderator Fareed Zakaria, host, Fareed Zakaria GPS, CNN, discussed the current state and the future of democracy. Aleksander Kwaśniewski, President of Poland (1995-2005), Chairman of the Board of YES, opened the conversation.

Yalta European Strategy in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation held an online conversation on the US Presidential election and its implications for Ukraine. John Bolton, U.S. National Security Advisor (2018-2019), and Richard N. Haass, President, Council on Foreign Relations were interviewed by Gillian Tett, Chair of Editorial Board and Editor-at-Large, US, Financial Times. This was the third YES online conversation on global challenges and what they mean for Ukraine. Victor Pinchuk, founder of YES, Victor Pinchuk Foundation, EastOne group, opened the discussion.

Yalta European Strategy in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation continues its series of online conversations on global challenges and what they mean for Ukraine. The 2nd conversation focused on how COVID 19 transforms the world and how countries can use the crisis to build a better future. Fareed Zakaria, Host, Fareed Zakaria GPS, CNN, discussed his book “Ten Lessons for a Post-Pandemic World” with Niall Ferguson, Senior Fellow, Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Victor Pinchuk, founder of YES, Victor Pinchuk Foundation, EastOne group, opened the conversation.

Alexander Kwasniewski, Chairman of the YES Supervisory Board, President of Poland (1995-2005), in his interview for European Pravda mentioned reconciliation between Poland and Ukraine, strategic partnership with the United States and EU policy concerning Belarus.

On October 2, 2020, Yalta European Strategy in partnership with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation held the first YES online conversation entitled «Ukraine’s reform, security, and Euro-Atlantic integration perspectives». 

The 17^th Yalta European Strategy (YES) Annual Meeting originally planned for ‪September 10-12, 2020, is postponed until 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On February 15, 2020, Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yalta European Strategy (YES) held the 4th Ukrainian Lunch in Munich, titled “Ukraine – Moving Ahead” that was organized on the margins of the Munich Security Conference. In attendance were political and business leaders, experts and media from Ukraine and the world.
