COVID-19 Measures

The health and safety of our participants are one of the main priorities of this year’s Yalta European Strategy conference, YES Brainstorming "Post-COVID=Pre-Disaster? Steps to Survival.” YES will function in accordance with the pandemic guidelines of the Ukrainian government and the World Health Organization, enacted until September 9th, 2021. While filling out the online registration form, we ask all participants to present proof of full vaccination. This certificate is a prerequisite for your participation in the event. This information will stay confidential and will be used only inside the YES organizing committee for the preparation of sanitary measures. All participants of the YES Conference must also have a medical insurance plan that covers the treatment of coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Additionally, to ensure safety, we will require all participants to sign a consent form and pass a rapid antigen test. Mobile laboratories will operate at the participants' accommodation and at the YES Brainstorming venue.

Additional anti-epidemic measures will be implemented at the YES Brainstorming venues, such as temperature control, ventilation of premises, systematic ventilation, cleaning and disinfection of all contact surfaces (furniture, doorknobs, toilets, etc.), placement of automatic hand hygiene stations. YES will provide a sufficient amount of disposable 3-layer medical face masks for all participants.

The YES organizing committee kindly asks all participants to follow standard sanitary procedures during the conference, namely, to maintain a social distance of at least 1 m (3,3 feet), wash their hands regularly with warm water and soap for at least 30 seconds, and use alcohol-based hand sanitisers that will be provided on the spot.

Please note that YES is not liable for any medical expenses, injuries or illnesses received during the participant's stay in Kyiv. The YES organizing committee will do its utmost to ensure the safety of the event. A more detailed protocol for anti-epidemic measures can be found here.
