Victor Pinchuk Opens Plenary Sessions of the 7th Annual Meeting of Yalta European Strategy
01 October 2010

The objective of Yalta forum is to discuss the global challenges of modern age, make them a part of a present-day agenda in Ukraine and open new approaches which would help to find solutions to these issues.

Opening the first plenary day of the 7th Yalta Forum at Yalta Livadia Palace, Victor Pinchuk, the founder and YES Board member, said:

“Today we face the global challenges surpassing those Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin were confronted when gathering here 65 years ago.” Victor Pinchuk expressed his hope for that the forum participants – public figures and politicians of the highest level, experts, diplomats, and journalists being among them, – would assist in achieving the major goal of the meeting. “In today’s world a replay of 1945th year’s situation, when three superpowers may master the world’s fate behind closed doors, is impossible. Today negotiating table gathers much more players”.
