Kateryna ZAGORII is a patron of arts and sciences, venture investor, and media expert. In 2002-2014, she headed the Industrial Television Committee and later in 2014-2016, she held membership of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine. She is now involved in venture investment. Since 2016, Mrs. Zagorii has been the Director for Development of the Zagorii Family Charity Foundation. The Foundation operates in three principal areas: health culture, art culture, and charity culture. The Fund’s projects include setting up Anna Yaroslavna Cultural Center in France, popularizing Ukraine’s art cultural heritage, conducting national opinion polls, and developing the culture of charity. Mrs. Zagorii has initiated the National Ukrainian Day of Good Works within the global Giving Tuesday movement to help promote charity and volunteer activities and make them trendy and fashionable phenomena for Ukrainians. In 2018, Ukraine joined the international charitable community becoming a 154th nation who is a member of the Giving Tuesday. The first Giving Tuesday event is expected to take place on November 27th, 2018. Mrs. Zagorii’s family are the owners of JSC Darnytsya Pharmaceutical Firm - a leading Ukrainian manufacturer of medicines.
