Chairman , Maidan of Foreign Affairs
Bohdan YAREMENKO is a foreign policy and security expert. In February 2014, he founded the Maidan of Foreign Affairs Foundation, and now serves as its Chairman, analyst, and a blogger. Prior, he was the Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul from 2010 until November 2013. In 2009-2010, he served as the Deputy Director of the International Policy Department at the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine. Previously, he held numerous leadership positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine including Consul General of Ukraine in Edinburgh (2006-2008), adviser and the Head of the U.S. and Canada Department, Director of the Fourth Territorial Department (Western Hemisphere) (2000 – 2003), and Vice Consul and Consul General of Ukraine in New York (1995-1999). Prior to joining the diplomatic service in 1993, Mr. Yaremenko graduated from the Philology Department of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
