Deputy Minister of youth and sport of Ukraine
Oleksandr YAREMA is the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport of Ukraine. Prior to joining the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine, Mr. Yarema headed the Department of Youth Policy of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports, and the Department for Interaction with Civil Society and Political Parties of the Presidential Administration. Previously he held a number of senior positions in public sector as the founder and chairman of the All-Ukrainian youth public organization "Christian Democratic Youth of Ukraine", chairman of the Interconfessional Council of Christian Youth, and the executive director of the Ukrainian Reform Support Foundation. He also served for the Ukrainian National Committee of Youth Organizations, the World Congress of Ukrainian Youth Organizations, the Association of the KVN of Ukraine. Mr. Yarema was the founder and Board member of Reforms and Order Party, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee. Mr. Yarema is a graduate from the National Agrarian University, and the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. He also finished the postgraduate studies at the National Institute for Strategic Studies. Mr. Yarema is also an alumnus of the Ukrainian School of Political Studies, Theodore Heuss Academy (Gummersbach, Germany). Mr. Yarema enjoys reading, travelling and skiing.
