Valionis Tadas

Tadas VALIONIS is Minister Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine. From 2015 to 2018, he served as Deputy Director of the Transatlantic Cooperation and Security Policy department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2011 –2015, he was Minister Counsellor, Deputy Permanent Representative at the Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Lithuania to NATO and before that, in 2009-2011, the Head of Russia Division at the Eastern Neighborhood Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2008-2009, Mr. Valionis was the Head of Latvia and Poland Division at the Regional Cooperation Department of the Lithuanian MFA. He started his career in diplomacy in 1998 when he was appointed as Third Secretary at the Eastern European and Central Asia Division. Mr. Valionis has Master of Arts degree from the Institute of International Relations of Warsaw University.
