Viktor TARAN is a Ukrainian political analyst and the Head of Eidos, an organization that works on E-governance, political education, corruption, and government transparency. Since 1995, Mr. Taran has been actively involved in a social and political life of Ukraine. He served in senior positions at political youth organizations "Young People's Movement" and "Batkivshchyna Youth." For more than 15 years he has been working in state and local governments. He was twice elected as a deputy to the local council. He started working in the civic sector in 2010. He co-founded an educational project High Political School. In 2011, he served as an expert of the Council of Europe Program, Evaluation of Standards of Public Ethics, in a framework of strengthening the institutional capacity of local government in Ukraine. In addition, he is a co-founder of Initiatives "CHESNO Civil Movement" and "The Reanimation Package of Reforms." Mr. Taran continues to work with local authorities, where he advises on political ethics and anti-corruption. In 2017, he served as the Head of Community Board of NAPC. Currently, he is a member of the Supervisory Council of National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration.
