Charles TANNOCK is a former medical doctor and NHS Consultant Psychiatrist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL Medical School in London. He was first elected to the European Parliament in 1999 representing London for the Conservative Party and re-elected for the fourth time in 2014. Currently, he is the UK Conservative Foreign Affairs Spokesman and ECR Coordinator and Spokesman on the Foreign Affairs Committee. He is a Commissioner for Human Rights of the Conservative Party. From 2009 to 2014, Dr. Tannock served as the Vice President of the EP Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. He studied at Balliol College, Oxford, and Middlesex Hospital Medical School at London University. He is married and has three children. He has received awards from several foreign governments for his services in international relations.
