CEO , Alfa-Bank Ukraine and Ukrsotsbank
Ivan SVITEK is the CEO of Alfa-Bank Ukraine and Ukrsotsbank. Prior to joining Alfa-Bank in 2017, Mr. Svitek served as a Chairman of the Board and CEO of Home Credit and Finance Bank in Russia from 2008 to 2015. Under his supervision, the bank evolved into the largest private retail lender and one of the top-10 banks in Russia. In 2003–2008, he was the President and CEO of GE Money in Brazil and previously was the European Pricing Leader at GE Money HQ, Ireland. He also was CFO and a Vice-Chairman of the Board at GE Capital Bank in Czech Republic (1998-2001), worked at Pepsi-Cola Company in Austria and Czech Republic (1994-1998), and was an Advisor to the Minister of Finance in Czechoslovakia (1991-1992). In 2013, Mr. Svitek was named the Banker of the Year, and in 2018, he was recognized as one of the Top 20 most effective foreign managers in Ukraine. He holds an MBA in Finance Specialization from INSEAD in France and a dual BA in Economics and Political Science from Claremont McKenna College in USA.
