UEFA Vice-president
Grigoriy SURKIS is a political and public figure: member of the Parliament of Ukraine (1998-2006), chairman of the Society “Ukraine-China” since 2000, member (since 1998) and vice-president (since 2000) of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. He became a significant figure in Ukrainian business since the early 1990s. He started his professional carrier as the graduator of the Kyiv Technological Institute in 1972. He worked for different departments of Kyiv municipality (1971-1991). Currently Grigoriy Surkis is the UEFA Executive Committee member (since 2004) and holds the position of the UEFA Vice-president (since 2013). During his carrier in the international Football he worked for various FIFA (since 2000) and UEFA committees (since 2002). As the President of the Football Federation of Ukraine (2000-2012) he led the national football organization to successful staging of the UEFA EURO 2012 together with Poland. Prior, Grigoriy Surkis chaired FC Dynamo Kyiv (1993-1998) and the Professional Football League of Ukraine (1996-2000). In 1998, Grigoriy Surkis became the honorary president of FC Dynamo Kyiv and since 2012 he is the honorary president of the Football Federation of Ukraine.
