Sergej SUMLENNY is a Director of the Kyiv office of the German Heinrich-Boell-Foundation, a political foundation linked to the Green party. After 8 years working as a business journalist in Germany, he switched to private economy and started to work as a business consultant for a German company Schneider Group, focusing on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. In 2015 he moved to Kyiv to work for the Heinrich-Boell-Foundation as a director of the local office with the focus on energy transition, gender rights and urban planning. He has a PhD in political science.
