Siumar Viktoria

Viktoria SIUMAR is a Ukrainian journalist and politician who has been the Member of Parliament of Ukraine and the Deputy Chairman of the People's Front party since December 2014. At the parliament, she is the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy. She is the author of numerous laws that limit Russian information production in Ukraine and other media reforms. On February 28, 2014, Oleksandr Turchinov, Acting President, appointed Viktoria Syumar as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. She was an active participant in Euromaidan and currently serves as a member of the Council of Maidan.
