David SAKVARELIDZE is a Board Member of the "Movement of New Forces" Political Party. Mr. Sakvarelidze served as a member of the Georgian Parliament. Having worked on various positions across Georgia, including the post of the First Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Georgia, he has extensive prosecutorial experience. In 2015-2016, Mr. Sakvarelidze held office of the Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Ukraine and Regional Prosecutor of Odessa. He was in charge of reforming the Prosecutor's Office. As his first priority actions, Mr. Sakvarelidze developed and established the Inspector General's Unit, which has since been investigating alleged corruption cases among Prosecutors. He oversaw the work of the Department of Procedural Oversight in Criminal Cases against Corrupt Employees of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and of similar departments dealing with corrupt high-ranking officials. Mr. Sakvarelidze was also in charge of enhancing the Local Prosecutor's Offices across Ukraine through competitive recruitment process. Mr. Sakvarelidze is a graduate of the Law School of Tbilisi State University. He also is an alumnus of St. Bonaventura University of New York, U.S., majoring in Political Science, and Toyo University of Itakura, Japan, majoring in Regional Development Studies.
