Head of Representation in Lithuania , European Commission
Arnoldas PRANCKEVIČIUS is the Head of European Commission Representation in Lithuania. Before joining the Commission in October 2016, he spent eleven years at the European Parliament in Brussels, serving for seven years as a diplomatic adviser to EP Presidents Martin Schulz and Jerzy Buzek, advising them on Russia, Eastern Partnership, Western Balkans, Turkey and Asia. In 2012-2013, Mr. Pranckevičius advised Cox-Kwasniewski special mediation mission in Ukraine. In addition, he has experience working in the European Parliament's Committee for Foreign Affairs and with the Inter-Parliamentary delegations for relations with Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. In 2004-2006, Mr. Pranckevičius served as the Domestic Policy Adviser to Lithuania's President Valdas Adamkus. He holds an MA in EU Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a BA in International Relations from Colgate University, USA. Mr. Pranckevičius also studied in Geneva and Washington, D.C., as well as at the Journalism Institute of Vilnius University. He briefly worked at the UNESCO, United States Senate and Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty.
