President , Centre for Economic Development
Oleksandr PASKHAVER is an Honored Economist of Ukraine and the President of the Centre for Economic Development. As an active participant of the process of market reforms implementation in Ukraine's economy, Mr. Paskhaver in 1995 became one of the co-founders of the Centre for Economic Development. He is the President and the Chair of the Editorial Board of the Monitoring of the Economy of Ukraine Analytical Information Bulletin. He had advised the President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy, and the Chair of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. Mr. Paskhaver was a Leading Expert at the Centre of Market Reforms, a consultant at Putnam, Hayes and Bartlett and Kiev-Reforma Foundation from 1992 to 1994. Prior, from 1971 to 1992, he was a leading research fellow at the Institute of Economy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where he researched economic efficiency, privatization, and demonopolization issues. Mr. Paskhaver graduated from the Kyiv Institute of National Economy, conducted his post-graduate studies in the USSR Academy of Sciences' Institute of Economy in Moscow. He holds a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences and is an Associate Member of the Academy of Technological Sciences of Ukraine.
