Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine
Volodymyr OMELYAN is Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, appointed on April 14th, 2016, having prior served as the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. From March 2014 until December 2014 he was the Head of Service of the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Previously, he was the Deputy Director of the Department for Maintenance of Minister’s Work at the Ministry of Finance from 2012 to 2014. He started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2000, where he served numerous leadership positions, including a Deputy Director of the First Territorial Department (2010-2012) and an Advisor, Acting Head, Head of the Russian Federation Division (2011-2012). There, he also worked as the First Secretary of the Division of Analytics of the Secretary Department (2007-2008), and prior served at the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna (2000 - 2006). Additionally, he served as the Deputy Director of the Department for Maintenance of Minister’s Work at the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (2006-2007) and the Head of the Directorate, and Director of the Secretary Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine (2008-2010). Mr. Omelyan graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv State University with a degree in Finance and International Relations in 2000 and from Lviv Polytechnic National University.
