Munteanu Alexandr

Alexander MUNTEANU is an American of Moldovan origin, who has been based in Ukraine and the region for twenty years. After serving on numerous commercial boards of directors, he is currently the Chairman of the Board of Portmone, Venbest and Prime Group, as well as the Independent Director of the Board of Bank Credit Dnepr. During his career, he has led investments for WNISEF/Horizon Capital, Dragon Capital and now for his own firm, 4i Capital Partners. Prior, he worked for Credit Lyonnais in Paris, for National Bank of Moldova, and for World Bank in Washington D.C., covering MENA region. Additionally, Mr. Munteanu has been involved in various social activities: he is the co-founder of AmCham Moldova, he has been the President and Founder of Alliance Française of Moldova for more than 25 years, and he is Co-Chairman of Business Advisory Council for Southeastern Europe and Eurasia. He also currently serves as a Chairperson on the Board of Governors of Pechersk School International (PSI) in Kyiv. Mr. Munteanu taught electrical engineering as well as money, banking, and financial markets at the university level. He plans to return to teaching activities at some point of his career. He received an M.A. in Economic Policy Management from Columbia University in NYC and an M.A. in Physics from Moscow University. Mr. Munteanu is Knight of Légion d'Honneur of France.
