Maronkova Barbora

Barbora MARONKOVA is the Director of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Information and Documentation Centre in Kyiv, appointed on March 1st, 2017. She joined NATO in 2006, working at the Public Diplomacy Division in Brussels as a Program Coordinator where she designed, planned and implemented public diplomacy campaigns in a number of NATO member states. Since then she has held numerous leadership positions. In September 2010 she became the Program Manager for the Western Balkans, where she advised several candidate countries on their national public awareness campaigns on NATO membership. Before her most recent appointment, Ms. Maronkova worked at the office of NATO’s Spokesperson from January to December 2016. Prior to joining NATO, she established and headed a Slovakia based NGO Centre for European and North Atlantic Affairs in 2003 to contribute to the public and academic debate on Slovakia’s membership in the EU and NATO. There she worked on public relations and media appearances, public speaking, donor and stakeholder relations as well as the management of the NGO.
