Markarova Oksana

Oksana MARKAROVA is the Acting Minister of Finance of Ukraine. She joined the Ministry of Finance in March 2015 and since then has held numerous leadership positions. Till April 2016 she served as the Deputy Minister of Finance and was responsible for the public finance management reform. As a result of her initiative, the Ministry of Finance launched E-Data, the biggest web portal of open data on public finance. On April 29th, 2016, Ms. Markarova became the First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine, and later on August 8th, 2016, she was appointed to be the Government Commissioner on Investment. In this position, she launched the Investment Promotion Office, UkraineInvest, and other initiatives to support existing investors and increase investments to Ukraine. On June 7th, 2018, she was appointed to her current position. Additionally, Ms. Markarova is a member of the supervisory boards of the Oschadbank, Eximbank, Ukrgazbank, and Privatbank. She holds a master's degree in ecology from Kyiv Mohyla Academy and a master's degree in international public finance and trade from the University of Indiana, Bloomington, USA.
