Lukanov Alexander

Alexander LUKANOV is the President of Alfa Bank Ukraine, to which he was appointed in 2013. He joined the bank in 1995, working as the Head of Credit Department at their Russia office till 2005, and later as the President and CEO of the Ukrainian office till 2013. From 1995 till 2009, he was the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Alfa Bank Russia, a member of the boards of bank's branches in Kazakhstan, Bashkirstan, a member of Amsterdam Trade Bank, CJCS Perekrestok, and Alfa Insurance, and a Chairman of the Board of Alfa Bank Ukraine. Prior to joining Alfa Bank, he held a researcher position at Moscow Power Engineering Institute and served as a Chairman of Executive Board of one of the first venture capital funds in Russia, SPF Contact XXI. Mr. Lukanov graduated from Moscow Institute of Power Energy in 1986 with a specialization in Radio Engineering and received a degree in finance from the Ukrainian State University of Finance and International Trade in 2011.
