Charles HENDRY is an Advisor to Vitol and a Non-Executive Director of AIM-listed Independent Oil & Gas and Deputy Chairman of Atlantic Petroleum. He is a University Regent and also an Honorary Fellow of the Energy Institute and works extensively across the energy and trade sectors. In 2015, Rt. Hon. Charles Hendry was appointed as an Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh Business School, as President of the British Institute of Energy Economics, and as Patron of the Nuclear Institute. Prior, he was the Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan, to which he was appointed by Prime Minister David Cameron in 2012 and served for three years, leaving the Parliament in 2015. Rt. Hon. Charles Hendry was the UK Minister of State for Energy from 2010 to 2012 and prior was the Conservative Party’s spokesman on energy issues, from 2005-2010, holding the portfolio for longer than any other spokesman. He was educated at the University of Edinburgh, where he received an Honors Degree in Business Studies.
