Director , Institute of Territorial Development
Yuriy HANUSHCHAK is the Director of the Institute of Territorial Development. Since 2014, he has been a member of the task group on development of Constitution of Ukraine. From October 2011 to December 2012, he was a Member of the Parliament of Ukraine. Previously, he was the Director of the Department of Local Government at the Ministry of Regional Development. Mr. Hanushchak served as an expert for local budgets at the Association of Cities of Ukraine (2006-2008), a Procurement Manager at WB project “Control on TB and AIDS in Ukraine” (2004-2006), and a consultant on local government issues for RTI projects, supported by USAID (1997-2004). In 1996 - 2008, he established and led the Joint Company “Khmelnitsky Information Network” ltd. Prior to that, he served as an official at Khmelnitskiy City Council and was an engineer at Khmelnitsky radio-technical plant. Mr. Hanushchak holds a degree in physics-optics form the Department of Physics of Kyiv National University and a Master of Public Administration from Kyiv Institute of State Management and Local Government. In 1994-1995, he had an internship at International Institute of Public Administration in Paris. He is fluent in English and French.
