John GROGAN is a British Labour Party politician, who was elected as the MP for Keighleyin in 2017, having previously served as an MP for Selby between 1997 and 2010. He is one of only three MPs who have won two different Parliamentary Constituencies with less than a 500 majority since the Northern Ireland Conflict. John is a member of both the Northern Ireland Affairs and the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committees. In his time out of Parliament, he chaired both Hatfield Colliery, an employee-owned enterprise which was the last and one of the deepest coal mines to close in England and the Mongolian British Chamber of Commerce. John is 57 years old, but in his younger days he was the first Labour President of the Oxford University Student Union and also worked in the European Parliament.
