Gogotsi Yury

Yury GOGOTSI is the C.T. & R.M. Bach Distinguished University Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Drexel University and the Director of the A.J. Drexel Nanomaterials Institute. Prof. Gogotsi is a Fellow of the American Association for Advancement of Science, Materials Research Society, American Ceramic Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, as well as Academician of the World Academy of Ceramics. He also serves on the MRS Board of Directors and acts as Associate Editor of ACS Nano. Prof. Gogotsi has co-authored two books, sixteen book chapters, more than six hundred papers in peer-reviewed journals, edited fourteen books, and obtained more than fifty patents. He was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Thomson-Reuters/Clarivate Analytics in 2014-2017 (h-index exceeding 100). He has received numerous awards for his research including the European Carbon Association Award, S. Somiya Award from the International Union of Materials Research Societies, Nano Energy award from Elsevier, International Nanotechnology Prize (RUSNANOPrize), R&D 100 Award from R&D Magazine and Nano 50 Awards from NASA Nanotech Briefs. Prof. Gogtsi received his MS (1984) and Ph.D. (1986) from Kiev Polytechnic and a DSc degree from the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in 1995.
