Volodymyr FESENKO is the СEO of the Center for Political Studies “Penta” in Kyiv. He has over 10 years of experience working with the Government of Ukraine, serving as a member of the Council on National Unity under the President of Ukraine and the Constitutional Assembly under the President of Ukraine in 2013, on the Coordination Council on Civil Society Development under the President of Ukraine (2012 - 2013), and on the Public Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2005 - 2012). Prior, he was a Professor at Faculty of Sociology in Kharkiv National University (1999-2001), a Program Coordinator of Regional Branch at International Renaissance Foundation (Soros Foundations Network) (1993-1999), and an Associate Professor at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogic Academy, Kharkiv (1990-2000). Dr. Fesenko's research focuses on Ukrainian politics, Ukraine-Russia relations, political parties, and political elites and is featured in numerous publications. Among them are: Eurasian Integration – The View from Within (2015), Influence of the Electoral System on the Role of Political Parties in the Development of Democracy in Ukraine (2005), and Can Liberal Pluralism be exported? Western Political Theory and Ethnic Relations in Eastern Europe (2001).
