Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Ukraine
Isabelle DUMONT is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Ukraine since September 2015. Previously, she headed Russia and Eastern Europe Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris in 2013–2015. From 2011 to 2013, she was the Second Counsellor in Ankara and from 2009 to 2011 she was the First Secretary at the French Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. Before that, H.E. Mrs. Dumont worked in Paris as an Advisor to the French Minister of Foreign Affairs (2007-2009), the Department of Strategic Affairs, Security, and Disarmament (2006-2007), and the Department of Continental Europe in 2003-2006. For service in the French Government, she was awarded an Honor medal of Foreign Ministry for courage and devotion (gold grade) in October 2014. H.E. Mrs. Dumont received a master’s degree in Slavic Studies from the French Institute of Political Studies and studied at the Ecole Normale Superieure (Fontenay-St-Cloud). She speaks English, Russian, Turkish, and Spanish.
