Director for Ukraine , International Republican Institute
Michael DRUCKMAN is the Resident Program Director for Ukraine at the International Republican Institute (IRI), where he leads IRI's political party, survey research, and municipal governance programs in Ukraine. Mr. Druckman joined IRI in Ukraine in 2010 as a Deputy Director focusing on IRI’s Crimea programs based in Simferopol, which promoted public hearings and conducted survey research. Prior to working in Ukraine, Mr. Druckman participated in several business initiatives to encourage entrepreneurship and investment in Central Asia. From 2003 to 2005, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, supporting the national headquarters of the Red Crescent in national preventative health campaigns. Mr. Druckman received an MBA in International Finance from George Washington University in 2009 and a BA with honors in Political Science from Providence College. Additionally, he studied Central European politics at the University of Economics and Charles University in Prague in 2002.
