Nataliia BERNATSKA has been the First Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine since January 14th, 2015. Previously, Ms. Bernatska was the Government Commissioner for the European Court of Human Rights. In 2013, she successfully passed the BAR exam and prior to that she had been Associate Professor at the Department of International Law and International Relations at the Odessa National Academy of Law. She holds a Master of Law degree and a Ph.D. in legal science from the Odessa National Academy of Law. She wrote her thesis on the “Appeal to the European Court of Human Rights as the realization of the right to justice”. Ms. Nataliia Bernatska was born on April 23rd, 1986 in Cherkasy.
