Sergii ALIEKSIEIEV is the Member of Ukrainian Parliament representing Petro Poroshenko Bloc. At the parliament, he serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice, the Head of the Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Italian Republic, and Deputy Member of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly. Mr. Alieksieiev was named "Legal Counsel of the Year - 2012" and "An Honored Lawyer of Ukraine". Additionally, he is a member of the Ukrainian Bar Association and the International Bar Association. He has expertise in many public policy areas including judicial reform, anti-corruption reform, and human rights. Mr. Alieksieiev has more than 20 years of experience working in human rights. He had drafted numerous legislative amendments on human rights and the removal of corruption from the public sector. He is a member of the Judicial Reform Advisory Council under the President of Ukraine and the Constitutional Commission and a member of the Parliamentary Committee working group on drafting the law "On anti-corruption court".
