Acuner Sevki

Sevki ACUNER is the Chairman of Supervisory Board of public joint stock company "Ukrainian railway". Prior, he was the Director of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Ukraine. He joined EBRD in 1996 as the Senior Manager of Transaction Approval and Credit Risk Management, and later he was the Deputy Director and Portfolio Manager of Agribusiness Sector in London from 2000 to 2009. Prior to his transition to Ukraine in 2013, he was the Deputy Director and Portfolio Manager in Istanbul. Before EBRD, Mr. Acuner served at the Royal Bank of Canada from 1985 – 1996. While there, he held numerous leadership positions including Senior Banker and Country Manager for Italy, the Netherlands and Greece, Managing Director in Amsterdam, Manager of Special Loans in Toronto, and Account Manager of Commercial Banking in Montreal. He began his career in 1979 as a Financial and Economic Analyst at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. Mr. Acuner received an MBA from Concordia University in Canada in 1982, a Graduate Diploma from University of Stockholm in Sweden in 1977, and a bachelor's degree from Department of Management at Bosphorus University in Turkey in 1976.
