Shimon Peres, Tony Blair Say Solving Poverty will End Cause of Terror

Two world leaders joined Yalta Annual Meeting founder Victor Pinchuk on a panel to discuss “Global Challenges and Their Interconnection,” today at the 12th YES Annual Meeting. Shimon Peres, the former president of the State of Israel, called for the world to fight poverty and ignorance, not terrorism in the Middle East, as a way to address the most pressing global crises and create a more peaceful and cooperative wider Europe.

Western Nations Should “Do Everything Possible” for Ukrainian Economy – Poll

The West should “do everything possible” for the Ukrainian economy, stepping up its support and acting more swiftly than it currently does, according to a survey of Ukrainian and international delegates attending the 12th Yalta European Strategy (YES) Annual Meeting. The interactive survey of the more than 350 attendees, conducted on Friday, 11 September, indicates that 60% of the Ukrainian respondents and 58% of the international respondents believe the West must do more to support Ukraine.
