
Ruslan Stefanchuk is a Ukrainian legal scholar and politician who has served as Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine since October 8, 2021. He began his career in academia, holding senior positions at the Khmelnytskyi University of Administration and Law and later at the National Academy of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine. From 2016 to 2019, he was Vice-Rector for Research at the Higher School of Advocacy of the Ukrainian National Bar Association, combining academic expertise with practical legal influence. In 2019, Stefanchuk entered high-level politics, becoming Advisor to the President of Ukraine and First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. Today, in addition to leading the Ukrainian parliament, he plays an active role in international cooperation as Co-Chairman of multiple interparliamentary assemblies and councils, particularly with NATO and neighboring European countries.
