Advisor of the Minister of Internal Affairs for Veteran Policy , Ministry of Internal Affairs
Dmytro Finashyn is a veteran and participant in the russian-Ukrainian war. In 2015, he signed a contract with the National Guard, and since 2017, he has participated in the AntiTerrorist Operation (ATO) and Joint Forces Operation (JFO). On May 23, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk Oblast, he sustained severe injuries but still managed to save a fellow soldier, risking his own life. In October 2022, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and presented with the Order of the "Golden Star." In January 2025, he was appointed Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs on Veteran Policy, focusing on improving rehabilitation, medical and psychological support, social assistance, and employment opportunities for combat veterans within the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
