Terekhov Igor

Igor Terekhov has served as Mayor of Kharkiv since November 2021. He has more than 39 years of professional experience, including senior positions in the Kharkiv City Council and Kharkiv Regional State Administration; he previously served as Deputy Mayor and First Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv, as well as Secretary of the Kharkiv City Council. He graduated from the Kharkiv Engineering and Construction Institute and the Kharkiv Regional Institute of Public Administration and holds a PhD in Public Administration. Since 2025, he has headed the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities of Ukraine. His honours include the Orders for Courage, Second and Third Class, and the Order of Merit, Third Class.
