Stakhovsky Serhiy

Sergiy Stakhovsky is one of the most decorated tennis players in Ukrainian history. His professional career spanned from 2003 to 2022, during which he won eight ATP titles in singles and doubles, reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 31, and was nominated 32 times to represent Ukraine in the Davis Cup between 2006 and 2021. One of the most notable achievements of his career was his victory over Roger Federer at Wimbledon in 2013. Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Stakhovsky brought his professional sporting career to a close and joined the Defence Forces of Ukraine. During his service, he served as a specialist to the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine and subsequently continued his military service with the Special Operations Center “A” (Alpha) of the Security Service of Ukraine. Alongside his sporting and military career, Stakhovsky has developed a number of entrepreneurial and sports initiatives. In 2015, he founded Stakhovsky Wines, his own winery in Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region. He is also a co-owner of a tennis club in Sviatopetrivske, Kyiv region, and remains actively involved in the development of racket sports in Ukraine. In 2026, together with Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina, Stakhovsky co-founded SVITO Padel Club in Kyiv, a new sports project dedicated to the development of padel and modern racket-sport culture in Ukraine.
