Senator John R. Curtis was elected to the United States Senate in November 2024 to represent the state of Utah. He previously served Utah’s Third Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives for seven years and was Mayor of Provo City for eight years, where he consistently earned a 94% approval rating. A former small business owner and proven problem solver, Senator Curtis is recognized for his commitment to innovation, collaboration, and efficiency. In the Senate, he serves on the Foreign Relations Committee, as well as the Environment and Public Works, Commerce, and Small Business Committees. Senator Curtis and his wife, Sue, have been married for 42 years. They are the proud parents of six children and grandparents to 18 grandchildren.
