Captain Denys Zaikov joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2013. He participated in the hostilities of 2014-2015 in the Donetsk region. After graduating from military university, in 2019 he continued his service in combat units. Since 2019, he has continued to participate in hostilities in Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine to the present, he has been on a combat mission.
