Kunsttrans was founded in 1974 as the first art forwarding company in Austria. Now an internationally renowned transport agent, Kunsttrans was established in 1862 and was one of the most important shipping companies during the Danube Monarchy. Nowadays, Kunsttrans is among the leading and most modern equipped single-source suppliers of fine art and exhibition logistics, provider of storage for top quality artwork. This successful cooperation is reflected in Kunsttrans' ongoing expansion: In 1981, a branch office in Budapest has been established, in 1991 in Prague, in 1994 in Kiev, in 2001 in Bucharest, Sofia and Zagreb, in autumn 2002 in Belgrade and in May 2003 in Bratislava.
