TNK-BP ranks among ten biggest private oil and gas companies in the world by crude oil production volumes. The company was established in 2003 through merger of oil and gas assets of BP in Russia and the ones of Alfa Access Renova consortium (AAR). BP and AAR hold equal shares in TNK-BP.
TNK-BP has been working in Ukraine since 2000 and owns the country’s most up-to-date oil refinery in Lisichansk (PJSC “LINIK”) that produces Euro-4 quality products, which are marketed both in Ukraine and abroad. Retail sales of oil products are carried out through a chain of filling stations under “TNK” and “BP” brands.
TNK-BP is also working on projects of developing unconventional gas production in Ukraine as well as on exploration and production of conventional hydrocarbons on Ukrainian part of the Black Sea shelf.
