For 12 years, Iryna has been involved in climate policy in Ukraine. From 2006 to 2017 she worked at the National Ecological Center of Ukraine. She worked on the preparation of comments and recommendations on the development and implementation of climate policy in Ukraine, the press coverage of the implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol. She also participated in UN international negotiations on climate change. From 2008 to 2019, she worked as the Coordinator of the Climate Action Network in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. She is the founder and, from 2011 to 2013, the chairman of the NGO "Kyiv Cyclists Association". Iryna graduated from the Faculty of Heat and Power Engineering of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Computer Ecological and Economic Monitoring. She received her second higher education at the International Institute of Industrial and Environmental Economics (Lund, Sweden) with a major in Environmental Management and Policy.
