In 1994 he graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute before earning his Master’s degree at the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade. Mr. Prystaiko started his career at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade in 1994 as an economist, Head of Division, Deputy Head of the Department of Trade and Economic Relations. His diplomatic career began in 1997 in MFA, where he served as a Deputy Head of Division of the Fifth Territorial Directorate General. In 2001 – 2002 he served as a Consultant of the Foreign Policy Directorate of the Presidential Administration. From 2007 till 2009 he served as a Deputy Director, NATO Directorate General of MFA. From 2014 until 2017, he served as a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief of Staff of the Ministry, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. In May 2019 he was appointed as a Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. His diplomatic career includes multiple foreign postings: at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Sydney, Australia (2000 – 2001), Embassy of Ukraine to Canada (2003-2006), Embassy of Ukraine to the USA (2009 – 2012). In 2012 he was appointed as Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, Representative of Ukraine to the International Civil Aviation Organization. In 2017-2019 he served as a Head of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO.
