Director , Institute for Strategic Studies "New Ukraine"
Andrey YERMOLAIEV is the Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies "New Ukraine" since February 2014, joining the Institute in 2010. He provides intellectual leadership, sets the strategic directions of the analytical work, and suggests policy advice to central and regional decision-makers of Ukraine. He successfully facilitates an expert dialogue with the leading scholars and analysts in the field of sociology, economics, philosophy, and political science. Prior, he was the Director of the Center for Social Studies "Sofia" for ten years. He began his career in the Ukrainian Government working as Senior Consultant at the Information and Analytical Department of the Administration of President of Ukraine in 1994 -1996 and later in 1997-1999, he was an Assistant to the Prime Minister of Ukraine. Mr. Yermolaiev regularly publishes articles, gives interviews, and participates in TV- and radio talk-shows. He is an author of more than 500 reports, policy papers, articles, edited volumes, and books. His most recent book Dew Drops was published in early 2015. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1992 and was born on May 6th, 1969 in Krasnogorivka in the Donetsk Oblast.
