Pavlo SHEREMETA is Ukrainian economist and a former Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. Currently he is Managing Partner at Breakthrough Strategy House PRORYV. Mr. Sheremeta earned his undergraduate degree in Economics at the Lviv University and an MBA degree at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. He completed a number of management development programs at the Harvard Business School, the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, and the China Europe International Business School. In 1999, Mr. Sheremeta founded the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, and became its first Dean. He also served as the Vice-President of the Central and East European Management Development Association (2006-2010). Mr. Sheremeta was part of the team of the “Blue Ocean Strategy Institute” of Malaysia, which advised the Malaysian government on economic reforms (2008-2011). From November 2012 until February 2014 he was the President of the Kyiv School of Economics. On February 27, 2014, Mr. Sheremeta became the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. He then stayed on as Acting Minister until September 2, 2014 when the Verkhovna Rada accepted his resignation. Mr. Sheremeta is also a Founding Director at the School of Public Management at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine, and a Senior Fellow in Economics at CEPA - Centre for European Policy Analysis in Washington, D.C.
