Taras LYUTY is the Professor of Philosophy at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Senior Researcher of the Philosophical Anthropology Department at the Hryhoriy Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine. He is an author of the lecture courses Theory of Ideology, Humanism and Anti-Humanism, The Modern Western Philosophy, Nietzsche’s Philosophy, European Nihilism, Axiological Dimensions of Literature, Philosophical and Anthropological Explication of “Unreason,” and Theory of Pop-Culture. Dr. Lyuty is a curator of philosophical programs and lecturer at The Cultural Project, including The Ten Living Philosophers, Eternal Questions, and History of Classical Philosophy courses. Additionally, Dr. Lyuty is an author of more than 80 academic publications including a collection of essays The Ship of Fools (2017) and monographs Nietzsche. Self-Overcoming (2016), Ideology: Matrix of Delusions, Discourses and Power (2016), The Reason of Unreasonable (2007), Mass/Popular Culture: Theories and Practices (2007), Nihilism: an Anatomy of Nothingness (2002), as well as a collection of small prose The Hives of Dreams (2007).
