Executive director , Fulcrum
Tymur LEVCHUK is a young leader, who came out as a homosexual in middle school. Since then, he has been an active leader in the LGBT and HIV community with a strong passion for protecting human rights. Since 2017, he has been an Executive Director at Fulcrum UA. Prior, he was the Communications Manager at Human Rights Information Center. Since 2014, he has been the Editor-in-Chief of National LGBT Portal of Ukraine, the first official LGBT media on the former Soviet Union territory. Throughout his career, Mr. Levchuk took part in numerous cultural projects. In 2015, together with his partner, he replicated a video experiment from the project ChebuRussia TV by filming the reactions of passers-by to the gay couple holding hands on the streets of Kyiv. He published the results of this experiment in KyivPost. He was also involved in Gaycation project in Kyiv, where Ellen Page and her best friend, Ian Daniel, set off on a personal journey to explore LGBTQ cultures around the world, including Ukraine. Since 2010, Mr. Levchuk has been an activist for Amnesty International and a volunteer of a HIV service organization.
