Kuzhel Oleksandra

Oleksandra KUZHEL is an Honored Economist of Ukraine and has been an active member of the Verkhovna Rada since 1994. Throughout her time in the parliament, she was the Head of the National Audit Committee of Ukraine in 1995 and a Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine on Business Development in 1998. She served as a Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship in 2000 - 2003 and was the President of the Analytical Center "Academy" and a member of the Council of Entrepreneurs of Ukraine in 2005 - 2006. In 2009, she was a Chairman of the State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship. Currently, she is the Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, appointed in 2014. Prior to joining the Parliament, Ms. Kuzhel was a Chief Accountant at the Joint Stock Center Vostok and a Chairman of the Board and a General Director of a joint Ukrainian-Canadian enterprise Nezalezhnist. Ms. Kuzhel earned a Ph.D. in Economics and a double degree in Metallurgical Engineering and Economics.
