Johannes KERT is a member of the Riigikogu, where he contributes to the development of national defense and security in Estonia. Mr. Kert previously served as the Commander of the Defense League and Estonian Defense Forces, General Staff at the Operations Department, and the Head of Operative Group. Between 2002 and 2008, he held various military positions including an Adviser to the Commander, Acting Commander of Land Forces, Commander of Land Forces, Military Representative of Estonia to NATO and the European Union. Afterwards, he was a Chairman of the International Steering Committee of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) and an adviser to the Ministry of Defense. He values the importance of promoting education in the fields of physical education and sports, as well as supports the development of Estonia's business environment. Mr. Kert believes that the structure of the state of Estonia needs to be optimized and it is necessary to limit bureaucracy.
